Gaurdie Banister Jr.
Gaurdie Banister Jr. joined Bristow’s Board in October 2017. Banister has served as a member of Bristow’s compensation committee since 2017. A veteran in the oil and gas industry, Banister served as president and chief executive officer of Aera Energy LLC, an oil and gas exploration and production company jointly owned by Shell Oil Company and ExxonMobil, from 2007 until his retirement in 2015. While at Aera Energy, Banister also served on its board of directors and provided strategic leadership to position the company as the industry leader in profitability and cash flow. Prior to Aera Energy, Banister served 27 years in executive-level positions at Shell Oil Company, including technical vice president of upstream Asia-Pacific, technical vice president of upstream Americas and president, global executive vice president of the Shell Services International Group of Companies. He has been a director of Tyson Foods Inc. since 2011 and is their lead independent director and chairman of the Compensation and Leadership Development Committee. He also was as a director of Marathon Oil Company from 2015 to 2018 where he served on the audit and HSE committees.
