Thomas C. Knudson
Thomas C. Knudson joined Bristow's Board in June 2004. Knudson has been chairman of Bristow's Board since 2006. Knudson served on Bristow's corporate governance and nominating committee from 2004 to 2016 and served on Bristow's compensation committee from 2004 to 2006. He served on Bristow's executive committee from 2006 to 2007. Knudson has been president of Tom Knudson Interests since its formation in 2004. Tom Knudson Interests provides consulting services in energy, sustainable development, and leadership. Following seven years of active duty as a U.S. Naval aviator and an aerospace engineer, he joined Continental Oil Company (Conoco) in 1975 and retired in 2004 from Conoco's successor, ConocoPhillips, as senior vice president of human resources, government affairs and communications. Knudson additionally served as a member of ConocoPhillips' management committee and held various diverse roles in engineering, operations, business development, and commercial. He was the founding chairman of the Business Council for Sustainable Development in both the United States and the United Kingdom. Knudson previously served as chairman of Midstates Petroleum Company, Inc., an independent E&P company in 2015, as well as member of the audit committee from 2014 to 2015 and chairman of the nominating and governance committee until 2016. He served as lead director and chairman of the governance, nominating and compensation committee of NATCO Group, Inc., a leading provider of wellhead process equipment, systems and services used in the production of oil and gas, from 2005 to 2009. He was also a director and member of the compensation committee of MDU Resources Group Inc. from 2008 to 2014, and a director of Williams Partners L.P. from November to 2007 where he served on the audit and conflicts committees.
